SpaceXSI rolled X Premium, Grok and the Cursor coding agent into one subscription with five tiers from free to $200 a month. Here’s what each plan includes and the fine print on third-party models.
Software bundles are back. SpaceXSI, the company behind X and Grok, has launched The X Subscription, one plan covering X’s social features, the Grok AI assistant and Grok Bot, and Cursor, the AI coding agent the company acquired in June. Its pricing page sums it up as “one subscription, access to everything.”
The five tiers at a glance
| Tier | Price | Headline additions |
|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | Limited chat and agent requests; post, reply and follow on X |
| Plus | $8/mo | Shared AI usage pool, Grok Chat, Voice, Imagine and Build, Grok API access, Cursor; Premium checkmark, fewer timeline ads |
| Premium | $30/mo | 4x Plus usage, Grok Bot, latest Grok models, faster chat, code hosting and AI code reviews, cloud agents and automations; ad-free on most surfaces, preferred handle, higher reply boost |
| Super | $100/mo | 15x Plus usage, priority model access at peak times |
| Ultra | $200/mo | 50x Plus usage |
Each tier includes everything in the tier below it. Prices on the pricing page don’t include taxes or fees, and plans can be canceled at least 24 hours before renewal. Team and enterprise plans add centralized billing, team management, usage analytics and team privacy settings, with separate pricing.
What the coding features actually are
The pricing page also spells out what the Cursor and developer pieces include. Paid plans list the Cursor Agent, and higher tiers add cloud agents and automations, code hosting via Origin and AI code reviews via Bugbot. Team plans add a team marketplace for internal rules, skills and plugins, plus the admin controls mentioned above. For a small engineering team, that puts the coding agent, repo hosting and review tools under one bill.
SpaceXSI says the bundle “provides more usage-per-dollar of our own models than the comparable plan it replaces,” according to Mashable.
The fine print: “our own models”
The biggest caveat is on the pricing page: third-party model usage in Cursor is not included in the monthly price and is billed separately at API list price. The bundle’s usage allowance covers the company’s own Grok models. If your team prefers other providers’ models inside Cursor, budget for that separately.
Is it a good deal?
It depends on how many of the pieces you’d use anyway.
- If you already pay for both Grok and X: Mashable notes that SuperGrok used to cost $30 a month and ad-free X Premium+ another $30. Premium now covers both for $30, so the bundle roughly halves the cost.
- If you only want a chatbot: $30 is more than the common $20 tier from competing AI assistants. Plus, at $8, is the cheaper option if you don’t need Grok Bot or the heavier coding features.
- If you’re a developer: Premium is the first tier with Cursor’s cloud agents, automations, code hosting and AI code reviews. Super and Ultra are for heavy users who keep hitting usage limits.
Who should pick which plan
- Casual users: Free or Plus.
- Creators and solo founders who post on X and use AI every day: Premium.
- Engineers running agents all day: Super or Ultra, depending on how often you hit limits.
- Companies: compare the team plan, especially for centralized billing and privacy controls.
Our take
Bundling makes sense when the pieces work together, like an assistant that can post, code and automate under one account. The usage multipliers and the separate billing for third-party models are what decide the real cost. Track your usage in the first month before moving to a higher tier.
